Floating in the Ocean
This photograph shows an Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle that had just surfaced to breath. Before it dived back down it took a moment to float on the surface and take another breath. To get this shot Richard dived down and looked back up to the surface, framing the sea turtle against blue sky.
Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, sometimes called Honu, are a protected species in that state and their numbers thrive as a result.
